CATCHING UP!
We are bursting with good news and exciting plans for our 2009/2010 Season!
You must be aware by now that the Naples Museum of Art has a terrific new Director/Curator, Michael Culver, who sailed into Naples on a delightful breath of fresh air. We are tickled that Michael has invited our longtime artist friend, Joel Babb, to be part of a three person show at the Museum this winter from February 2nd through April 18th. Joel’s new work in the gallery – he will also be part of our REALITY CHECK show in February - will tempt you with its imagery, gorgeous colors and painterly surfaces.
More good news…
It’s a delight to be introducing the work of four talented artists this season. Thirty-two years and I am still thrilled when I see a new artist I love and want to share.
Michael Kessler fills large wooden panels with abstract grid-like forms and flowing organic elements.
Carrie McGee sculpts with multiple acrylic forms, creating light and shadows and lyrical colors.
Stuart Ober takes you into his zany world with his exquisitely realistic small gems in oil.
Melody Postma creates mixed media work where nostalgic images face off against her bold, contemporary style.
And more…

SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL!
Our new ARTISAN JEWELRY DEPARTMENT features fabulous creations from Top American Designers whose adornments will make you shine - also outstanding as gifts. Check for our Jewelry Trunk Shows.
Our two major Winter Group Shows this year are REALITY CHECK – February 2010 – with artwork ranging from hyper-realism to gently recognizable images while our LESS show – March 2010 – features non-representational artwork where texture, line and color are the subject.
Take heart, if you cannot attend one of our events, as always, most of our artists' work is on display all season long, even during shows. You will see it all, so please drop in. We welcome your visits!
